If you are seeing the error ‘The specified directory service attribute or value does not exist’ when trying to set a password using AD Self Password Reset then it is likely the user used in the configuration program is unable to read the Fine-Grained-Password-Policy for the user whose password is trying to be set. You can grant read permissions to the FGPP in Active Directory Admin Center and Properties.
